Couldnt get to Lingfield today to see Epic but just watched him on ATR and thought it was his best run yet. He fluffed the start a bit but held his position well before brielfy looking as though he might get outpaced as they went for home. Greg Fairley made a move for the rail which got him back on the heels of the leaders and although he ended up having to be switched round the front three, he finished like a train which is what we were all hoping for!! He's bred to get at least a mile and a half and for the first time today he looks as though he's crying out for that trip.
Great to see him really finishing his race off today and if that was his best run so far, that means he's still improving and he should have a good year
Nice to hear Jason Weavers comments on ATR too, he said how long and tall Epic was and that he can only improve. He also said that given Epic's build and size he's amazed that Mark managed to get a win out of him at two years old, and I'd have to agree, so thanks Mark!
Best of luck to Epic for 2010 and not to forget best of luck to Jeff and co for Kochanski at Catterick later on, see you soon Jeff!!
